100th Post!

emeraldtreesHappy 100th post! *dances around room* I've only been writing my blog since July but the comfortability I get from writing posts and reading comments feels so natural and I'm so happy that I took the blogging plunge and get the chance to do so. The ability to express myself and hear your feedback has been absolutely amazing and I want to thank everyone who has been reading and following along with my blogging journey so far! Hopefully there will be a lot more posts as the summer comes upon us : ) Since it's a celebration, I thought I would share some of the tricks and tips I've learned from blogging thus far. 1. Stay true to your own style - Finding my own voice on this little spot of the Internet was both exciting and something to consider. For me, I decided to write similar to how I would speak in everyday life. Think about how comfortable you are and how much you want to share and then the flow should just come naturally : ) 2. Don't feel scared to try something new - I've noticed a few blog comments on other blogs where people expressed regret that they felt the caged themselves in on their blog. I always think it's good to have a niche if you mainly only talk about one genre of material, like makeup, movies, or music. But at the end of the day, if you want to write about something completely out there and off the wall, go for it! It's your blog. It's your space. 3. Read and answer your comments - One of the best aspects of blogging is the interaction. I've seen blogs where people never respond and I think, even if you feel you get too many comments to answer all of them, responding to a few will let people know you do read them. Thanks again everyone for your role in helping shape Novellette so far! Happy Sunday everyone and I will talk to you all soon! xo Novellette
