Happy Sunday everyone! I am back with another recipe. Have you ever been stumped about what to serve your guests for dessert after a nice summer meal? Sometimes you don't feel like a heavy chocolate cake or carrot cake and need something efficient and delicious. Well, low and behold, I have the solution: my recipe for a creamy mousse dessert.
This recipe is very easy to make, so no need to worry about wasting beautiful summer hours, and can be in any flavour you want. For a recent gathering I chose vanilla, but having also served chocolate and butterscotch, both are tasty and go over quite well.
Recipe: Creamy Mousse Dessert
*Serves 6 people*
What You Need:
1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 1/2 cups thawed Cool-Whip
1 package (4-serving) Jell-O Instant Pudding Vanilla
1/2 cup of fresh berries
- Beat milk and pudding mix with whisk for 2 minutes
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups of Cool-Whip
- Spoon into dessert dishes
- Refrigerate until ready to serve
- Top with whip cream and garnish with berries just before serving
Slices of cherry or raspberries really add a pop of colour for vanilla since when its complete it's as light and colourful as a cloud. But, you can add your own twist to it by adding anything you want as a garnish, chocolate chips, slices of fruit, sprinkles, anything! Think of it almost as a twist to the ice cream sundae. You provide the delicious base and everyone else can do the rest : )
If you try it, let me know how you enjoy it! Happy eating and I will see you all on Wednesday.
